This is a combination etching (the black linework) and a block print (the colour areas).  The image is 5.8cms wide x 4.3cms high hand printed on acid free Canson paper in a limited edition of 4.

This is  a landscape which is part of the Eyre Peninsular in South Australia as seen from the main highway between Whyalla and Port Augusta. I was inspired to do this print following a trip my wife and I did to Port Lincoln last year however it is a place I passed many times over 50 years ago when friends and I went surfing near Port Linoln and when I taught at Cowell Area school for two years in the early 1970s.
I  printed the black lines  and marks using an etched copper plate over which I printed the colours using cardboard 'blocks' cut to shape and water based block printing inks using extender to make them transparent.
