The title refers to the fact that my wife and I stayed in a beach house near this beach at Port Moorowie on the south eastern tip of YorkePeninsular . While walking on the beach we met a woman walking her dog and in the process of introducing herself to the dog my wife was  bitten on the hand. Luckily it was not a serious bite and some minor first aid prevented any problems. The beach does have a 'real' name but for us will always be Dog Bite Beach.
