This work was inspired by the water lily pool in the Bicentennial Conservatory in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. It is a peaceful, quiet place to visit and watch the goldfish lazily swim among the lily pads. It was this tranquility and calmness that inspired this print as well as the composition of the lily pads, the hint of light reflected in the still water and the flash of color as the goldfish swam out from under the plants.
